<p>Sculpture by the Lakes is a perfectly curated oasis that breaks down barriers between you and your surroundings. This stunning Sculpture Park nestled in the Dorset hills is one of the most remarkable places to visit, but the original branding and story undersold the experience. By getting under the skin of what made this sculpture park so special, meant I could unlock a whole new look, feel and vision from the brand. This meant turning a functional venue into an experience to get lost in and ‘immerse your senses’.</p>



<p>The new brand story and identity helped connect together their restaurant, gardens and my new creation ‘The Maker’s Yard’ all around a feeling of tranquillity and calm. This concept was rolled out across a new website, print collateral, posters, menus, adverts, maps and signage.</p>

<p>I was challenged to bring to life the ultimate festival for dog lovers &#8211; Dogstival. The key to success was evolving the existing branding to be more fun and capture the vibrant colours, festival feel, and pure love for dogs that makes the event so special.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>



<p>My work consisted of posters, advertising banners, flyers, event signage, lanyards and even extended to their tasty collaboration beer with Monkey Brewhouse ‘The Mutt’s Nuts&#8217; which included pump clips, beer mats, signage, social posts and flyers.</p>



<p>This is an on-going and developing project which is updated on a yearly basis to keep it feeling fresh and new for each festival. So, watch this space and keep an eye out for the latest doggy designs and collaborations with the amazing team at Lighthouse Marketing.</p>

<p>I was so very happy to hear that two of my most loved clients had collaborated to create a bespoke beer for Lymington Seafood Festival and had a sneaky feeling this would also mean I would get to create the design for it!&nbsp;</p>



<p>Lymington Seafood Festival and Monkey Brewhouse ran a competition on their social platforms for their seafood and beer loving followers to come up with the name for this special brew. They landed on Prawn Star. So of course, keeping the style in keeping with Lymington Seafood Festival and with a nod to Monkey Brewhouse, I created a fun, bright, cheeky design which was then rolled out across, social, flyers, pump clips, reusable beer cups and beer mats. I had a lot of fun on this project and hopefully that shows.</p>

<p>I love working with Monkey Brewhouse. They always set me exciting and challenging briefs that definitely push me out of my creative comfort zone. This year they ran their first ever beer festival and asked me to create a poster, outdoor banner and some social posts to promote the weekend long event. I thought, what better way than to lean on the cheeky little monkeys that I’ve previously created across their range of beer pump clips.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The look and feel ended up being bold, fun and colourful whilst still sitting in their brand styling and linking seamlessly with their popular brews that they would be selling over the weekend. The beer festival was a complete hit and they are now planning to run it every year. I know I’ll be there!</p>

I wanted to bring to life the simple, colourful and outdoorsy theme of the day with a unique look and feel that could stretch across everything in an understated way.</p>



<p>The bespoke stationery included: Friday invite, Saturday invite, details, order of the day, pump clips for our very own wedding beer, drinks menu, venue signage and of course the all important thank you cards.</p>

<p>At the start of 2023, Rich and Dom from Lighthouse Marketing came up with a brand new food festival, The Great Wight Bite. This festival would be an opportunity for culinary enthusiasts, foodies and families to immerse themselves in a feast for the senses.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Curating a successful food festival requires meticulous planning, creativity, and attention to detail.Fortunately Rich and Dom know exactly what they’re doing! They wanted The Great Wight Bite to be a celebration of local produce, the island&#8217;s most renowned chefs and an exploration of up and coming cuisine and flavours and this needed to be reflected through the design. They asked me to create a theme that was fun, lively, food focused, organic led and family friendly.</p>



<p>I created a flexible, playful and colourful logo which could work across assets of different shapes and sizes and a core graphic style incorporating sections on food elements in rounded, friendly bold shapes. These could be used in the background of any brand pieces. It was eye-catching and attention grabbing. The style was then rolled out across a range of different assets from posters, the website, advertising banners, aprons, flyers, event signage, lanyards, certificates and much much more. <p>When I was approached by tech entrepreneurs Chris and Charlie to help them with some design to get their new idea off the ground and in front of investors, I jumped at the opportunity. The idea behind this product was to help people feel safe during their walking journeys and allow peace of mind to fully enjoy activities and adventures. This could be truly revolutionary if their idea was executed correctly.</p>



<p>As with any tech start up there are always a lot of hurdles to jump through and these things can often take time to really snowball. To get things moving, we started with a logo design for their former name, Follo (sadly this name had to be changed because of translation issues, but Becon is now shining bright!), using journey lines and being located as the core thinking behind this design. The logo was written in a soft, friendly script font with a glow point at the end of the ‘O’. We went for a deep navy to tie into night journeys, grading into a warm friendly yellow. The colour of calm and light. Finally we selected a soft, rounded, sans serif font for their core brand material that was easy to read, suitable for digital applications and friendly in appearance. The designs were then used to start to piece together how the app would look and function considering the user at every point in their journey and how these journeys could differ.</p>



<p>Becon is now the no1 safety app to protect any journey or activity! They received investment and have had incredible feedback from Marie Claire, Forbes, The Metro and many more.</p>



<p>I’m continuing to produce design material for them and it&#8217;s always such a pleasure working with the innovative team at Becon.</p>

<p>When Covid hit, Emily had an influx of people messaging her requesting online yoga classes. She was quick to react and started doing live video classes and recording each of them with the idea that she could set up an online yoga library when she had enough content to offer. Emily already had a beautifully designed and well functioning site but she wanted my help designing the ‘On-demand’ platform. Working closely with Emily and the developer I use, we created a friendly UX design and journey for her clients and a platform that was easy for Emily to upload her latest videos to.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Emily’s online yoga platform is now a virtual space that provides a range of yoga classes. With the growing popularity of her classes and the increasing demand for flexible and accessible fitness options, Emily’s online yoga platform has been a real success.</p>

<p>Creating my brother and sister-in-law to be with a 1960’s style invite for their garden wedding party felt very special to me. Knowing the couple well, and chatting with them about what they wanted from the day and design, made my job quite easy! They wanted something abstract, bold and unconventional for an event that would be stylish, fun, relaxed and intimate, with bright pops of green and pink. Using geometric shapes and strong contrasting colours, I created a double sided A6 (ish) invite to help set the scene to their guests before the big day which helped everyone understand the type of celebration that the bride and groom were keen to achieve. They certainly did just that. The day was magical, with all their closest friends and family around them, lots of bright colours, an abundance of flowers and a pizza truck that kept us going all night long (or was that the tequila…?).</p>

<p>I felt very lucky to be asked by Camilla and Michael to create them a set of bespoke wedding stationery that embodied their springtime theme. </p>



<p>It began with a consultation, where the couple&#8217;s preferences were explored through conversation and concepting. Every aspect, including the choice of paper, colours, fonts, motifs, and illustrations were carefully curated to reflect Camilla and Michael’s distinct personality and the ambiance they wished to evoke on their special day.</p>



<p>This crafted watercolour print was selected and then variations of the design were created across save the date cards to invitations, order of service booklet, order of the day board, menus and beyond. Wedding stationery should be an exclusive preview of what will await the guests on the big day. It acts as a tantalising glimpse into the style, theme, and tone of the celebration, building anticipation and excitement. It was such a pleasure working with Camilla and Michael and they were really happy that together we had embodied their style, vision, and individuality through this stationery set.</p>
